John Munro

An accomplished hospitality leader with over 40 years of experience at Hilton Head Island’s boutique hotels and resorts, John Munro spent nine years as the director of lodging with The Club Group. This role involved oversight of all club operations, a private yacht club, , as well as a comprehensive short-term rental program. From 1999 to 2024, John Munro served as the Vice President of Hospitality, Sales and Marketing director at Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, in addition to leadership roles such as vice president of hospitality, sales, and marketing. He was responsible for more than 400 vacation rentals, in addition to operations of the 60-room inn and club hotel. His achievements at Sea Pines Resort included the hotel maintaining a perfect Tripadvisor score and ranking as the No. 5 hotel in the nation with U.S. News & World Report in 2023.
